I set off on an adventure 30 outfits ago and now I have reached the end! I think I learned a lot about my wardrobe and my style during this challenge. And maybe saved some money. Although that's debatable because I could have just spent the money I would have spent on clothes on something else...food...movies. But overall I think that I did learn a lot and I'm glad that I participated!
I should have done some celebrating for the end of the challenge, but instead I just stayed home and studied. And by studied I mean watched movies with a book in front of me. So I spent my night with some popcorn, peanut butter M&Ms, and Beauty and the Beast (duh duh duh duh duhhhhh)

29 Elves On the Self
Posted by

Today at work I had about 29 people ask me about the Elf on the Shelf. Have you heard about this? No? Well basically it is a little elf that you sit up high in your house so your kids can't reach it. You tell your kids that Santa sent the elf and he is watching to make sure your kids are being good.
Kinda creepy? It is a cool idea. But when I was a kid we didn't have to have a constant reminder that Santa was watching, we just were good because he knew if we were bad. I don't know... the elf kind of creeps me out.
But today I got ready in a record about of time. 17 minutes. Why you ask? Well I accidentily woke up for work at 9 when hey! I was suppose to be there at 9. Oops. Good thing I had mentally prepared this outfit last night!

Number 28. I'm so close to being done. And its good timing too because the rest of my closet has started calling me mean names for not wearing them lately.
My eyes are drifting closed while I'm writing this, which is probably a bad sign. I oh so desperately want to take a nap, but I know that I not the best idea. Because I haven't even started to study for Spanish and no me gusta espanol. Es muy dificil. Especialmente cuando tengo que saber acerca de 17 tiempos diferentes y todavía estoy tratando de averiguar la diferencia entre pretérito y imperfecto.
That is probably not correct Spanish.
Nap...or Spanish? Such a hard choice.
On a different note, this jacket is probably one of my prize-fashion-possessions. It is from J. Crew and is so perfect. Not quite white, not quiet beige, silk lining, perfect tailoring, surprisingly warm. Are you jealous yet? Well I also got it 75% off.

Oh Christmas Tree!

My roommate and I put up our Christmas tree today! We had been putting off for a couple of days now because we are both so busy with finals and papers and more finals. But we made time today!
The whole time I felt like we should have been listening to Vince Gill's Christmas album because that is what we listened to as kids when we put up the tree. It's not Christmas without a little Vince Gill.

Okay, I'm a little out of wit today. The past few days have been draining me. This outfit is actually from yesterday. I just didn't get a chance to post it. But, no I'm not losing my mind. I know I skipped 25. I wore an outfit the other day for 25, but I was writing a paper all day and didn't get to take any pictures. Yes, it was the same paper I was writing that other day too. But luckily for you, my lovely readers, I have finished it!
We can rejoice.
Now. 2 more papers and 5 finals.

I Wish There Were More Than 24 Hours In A Day

I ran out of light today so I took pictures in my room. I'm super tired from writing papers all day. And I'm still not done, so I'm short on words.
But here is a super cute picture of Captain.

Today I'm stuck at my favorite coffee shop writing all day. And unfortunately, it is not the kind of writing that I would like to be doing. The kind that makes me want to drop out of school. Term paper writing. I feel bad hating this kind of writing because can I call myself a writer and an English minor if I hate writing term papers?
Yes. I think I still can. Or I choose to still call myself a writer. At heart at least.
But when you're writing about J. R. R. Tolkien, who was basically the inventor of fantasy (besides William Morris and C. S. Lewis) it is hard to look at my writing and say it is good. The dude was a freaking genius. And now I have to talk about him like I am someone in the world who has enough of say to talk about him. Yeah...kind of a daunting task. But I solider on nevertheless.
To Tolkien and Tolkien lovers. I am sorry if I offend you with anything that I say in my papers. You were awesome. That is all.
Love, Cassidy.

By the way, my jacket is the 30th items in my 30 for 30 that I just realized I never posted a picture of. Oh well, here it is! And this is yesterday's outfit, so expect another post later today!
