Project "Cleanin' Out My Closet" Is Complete

I did it you guys! I successfully clean and organized my closet. I even got some dry cleaning done that I have been needing to do for probably about three years. And goodness gracious is dry cleaning expensive!

But here it is, my new closet.

Now that my closet is cleaned I have noticed some things that my wardrobe is lacking. Things like:
1. A light colored blazer. I have 3 black and 1 navy, but no light color blazers.
2. A blazer is the only thing I can think of right now. Don't judge me, it's been a long day.

Just Around The River Bend

Okay, don't laugh at me, but I didn't know that Pocahontas didn't marry John Smith. Instead she married some bloke name John Rolfe, who she just so happened to fall in love with after she was kidnapped and held prisoner in Jamestown.

This kind of ruins everything for me. I really love Disney's Pocahontas. But there are so many historical mistakes in that movie it is insane. They probably shouldn't have even called it Pocahontas. They should have called it Avatar....oh right, that's another movie with the same premise.

But all of this knowledge was brought about from my children's literature class. Guess I did actually learn some stuff in college.

On to my outfit...I'm in love with my shoes. I have been eying them at Forever 21 since I finished my 30x30 in the Fall. I finally got them and boy, I couldn't love them more!

Phase 1 Complete

I have officially cleaned my closet out! Aren't you proud of me?

I spent a good portion of Monday going through my clothes and getting rid of the ones that either A. don't fit, or B. I couldn't remember the last time I wore it. It was a lot easier than I expected it to be, considering I have cleaned out my closet many times before and never had the kind of results that I had this time.

So check it out...all of my clothes boxed up.

Now on to the organizing. Ugh.

Project "Cleanin' Out My Closet" Is Underway

Because I only have class on Tuesdays and Thursdays this semester I have a lot more time than I am used to during school time. So today I decided to put my spare time to good use and clean out my closet.

It has been a long time coming considering I can no longer fit all of my clean clothes in my closet. So my clean clothes just end up sitting on top of the dryer for weeks upon end. Which I can only assume annoys my roommate to no end.

So here we go. Project "Cleanin' Out My Closet".

High-Waisted Skirts

My brother says I shouldn't wear them anymore. That they're not flattering. He's probably right. Looking through the pictures I took today, I almost agree with him. But I just can't stop wearing them. I love them!

Like this little beauty that I have on. The day after Christmas, my boyfriend took me shopping (adorable, I know). But unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time because I had to be at work. Well, in my hometown they opened up a two-story Forever 21 (which boyfriend just so happens to work at now. I'm lucky. I know) So in my time crush I was frantically grabbing clothes left and right and just when I was about to call it a day, I found this skirt. It called to me.

So now I own the pretty little thing. And no matter what my brother thinks about it. I'm still wearing it. Sorry Zac.

I Have A Reading Obsession

Want to know how many books I've read since school let out in December?

13.

I can't stop. I finish one book and I immediately move on to another. Good thing there is a plethora of books out there to feed my obsession. I just finished The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. Ah-mazing. Dashner's world keeps you on the edge of your seat and has your mind spinning with conspiracy theories against WICKED. Are they good? Are they bad? I don't know. The only bad thing is that my googling skills are lacking to find out with the third book in the trilogy comes out. Luckily for me, I work for a bookstore and can search for things like that in our system.

If all my talk of books is giving you an itch to read, here are a few of my suggestions. Fair warning, they're all teen books.

The Tiger's Curse--just released. And I heard someone say that it is marketed as the new Hunger Games. That should be enough for you to read it right there.

The Maze Runner--the book before The Scorch Trials.

And of course my all time favorite--City of Bones, book 1 of the Mortal Instruments. Anyone else keeping your fingers crossed for Alex Pettyfer to say yes to the movie?

Now...what do I read next?
